Illustrator
Paixtriot is growing! We are looking for an Animator (intern/recent grad) to join Paixtriot for our exciting animation projects.
This role is being funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program; the applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
-Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment* (all youth aged 15 to 30, not just students, can apply);
-Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
-Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
The fun stuff:
-Work collaboratively with the Creative Director to help develop and create concept 2D animations for Film and/or 3D assets for Video Game;
-Create high level quality character animation and background assets;
-Experience with computer/digital animation and a supporting portfolio;
-Able to work independently and remotely in your home office.

-Understanding of animation principles;
-Attention to detail;
-Passionate about film, video games and creative digital art;
-Creative;
-Positive attitude;
-Clear communicator;
-Must be flexible and willing to learn;
-Hard working and enthusiastic;
-Available for regular video conference meetings.
Primary Technical experience: Toon Boom, Maya, Unity 3D, Unreal, Blender or other;
Secondary: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator;
Nice to have: Programming in Unity/C# or Unreal.
This work will be conducted remotely so you must have access to a workstation that is able to manage high quality graphics and video, as well as high speed Internet connection to download and upload assets.
Preferred Location: Ideally located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). Although the position is remote, there is a very small chance of in-person meetings towards the end of the term, which will take place in the GTA and also dependent on Covid-19.
