3D Artist / Animator
Paixtriot is looking for a 3D Artist / Animator (intern/recent grad) to join Paixtriot for our exciting animation projects.
This role is being funded by the Canada Summer Jobs program; the applicant must meet the following eligibility requirements:
-Between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment (all youth aged 15 to 30, not just students, can apply);
-Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act for the duration of the employment;
-Have a valid Social Insurance Number at the start of employment and be legally entitled to work in Canada in accordance with relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
The fun stuff:
-Work collaboratively with the Creative Director to help develop and create and model 3D art and animations for Film and/or assets for Video Game;
-Create high level quality character animation and background assets;
-Experience with computer/digital animation and a supporting portfolio;
-Able to work independently and remotely in your home office as well on-site.
-Understanding of animation principles;
-Attention to detail;
-Passionate about film, video games and creative digital art;
-Must be flexible and willing to learn;
-Hard working and enthusiastic;
-Available for regular meetings;
-Comfortable building custom 3D assets, landscapes and leveraging libraries when necessary;
-Model 3D characters;
-Comfortable working in Blender and Unreal Engine 5.1;
-Have an interest in Children’s programming as well as Adult animation;
-Completed or near completion of a post secondary program in Animation, Digital Art, illustration or 3D design;
Primary Technical experience: Blender, Maya, Unreal Engine 5.1, Unity;
Nice to have: C++/C#, Unreal Engine Blueprint
Majority of the creative work will be conducted remotely so you must have access to a workstation that is able to manage and render high quality graphics and video, as well as high speed Internet connection to download and upload assets.
Preferred Location: Ideally located within the Greater Toronto Area (GTA)/Durham or York Region. Hybrid Work.
